Hoya HMC UV standard 55mm

Hazy shots have been my nemesis during midday hikes, but this filter cut through the glare beautifully. The multi-coating is a nice bonus for cleaning, and it's staying on my lens permanently.

Finally got this for my vintage manual lens and it fits perfectly—threads on smoothly without any binding. The multicoating seems to cut through that blue haze you get on sunny days. Sharpness is unchanged, which is exactly what I wanted.

I've been using this filter as a permanent lens protector on my kit lens, and it hasn't affected image quality at all—outdoor shots are noticeably clearer with less haze. The multi-coating seems to do its job without adding any weird color casts.
