I was a bit worried about getting the right fit for my older tripod, but this replacement column slid in perfectly and the locking mechanism feels just as solid as the original.

The black finish matches perfectly with my older tripod model, and the column slides into place without any wobble. It restored my setup to like-new condition for a fraction of the cost of buying a whole new tripod.

Felt like a gamble buying a spare part online, but the fit on my 475B is absolutely perfect, zero wobble. The black finish is uniform and it slides smoothly, so my old column was the only issue all along.
