Setup was quick with the Rapid frame, and the 1.25-stop diffusion softened my harsh midday sun perfectly for outdoor portraits. Exactly what I needed for location shoots.

The neutral white fabric does exactly what it should—knocks the harshness down without shifting color, and it packs flat enough to slip into my bag without bulging. My one gripe is that you need the separate frame to use it, but for location shoots it’s become a staple I grab first.

Setup takes maybe two minutes once you’ve done it a couple times, and the 1.25-stop diffusion is just right for taking the edge off harsh sun without losing all punch. The neutral white fabric doesn’t shift colors on skin tones either, which matters when you’re shooting people outdoors.
