Ilford FP4+ 120 film

Finally had a chance to develop my first roll and the grain is incredibly fine for a medium-speed film—details in the shadows came through beautifully.

The grain on this FP4+ is so fine that even big enlargements stay razor-sharp, and the tonal range in the shadows is gorgeous. I shot a whole portrait session with it and every frame had that classic, crisp black and white look.

Shooting a roll of this in medium format has been a revelation for my landscape work—the fine grain holds up beautifully even at 16x20 enlargements and the sharpness on the edges is just stunning. I've gone through three rolls already and every frame has that classic, crisp look I was hoping for.
